General Information

The set of products is manufactured in compliance with TU 2229-008-50903380-99 Specification, is provided with a Compliance Certificate of the GOSSTANDAR of Russia (No. GOST 12.1.007, GN 2.2.5.686098) and Hygiene Certificate No. 78.1.6.222.T.19231.11.99 of the RF State Committee for Sanitary and Epidemic Supervision. Protected by patents in Russia and Europe.

EPILAMING is a process of application of FLUO-SAA to a solid body surface. As a result of epilaming, a thin (40 – 80 A°) film of specially oriented FLUO-SAA molecules is generated on the solid body surface. The molecules are attached to the surface by chemisorption forces, which allows to modify materials’ surfaces for adding several specific properties:

- retaining lubricant in a friction area. This is achieved due to a boundary layer which reduces the effect of the solid body’s surface energy;

- adhesive properties. The thin (40 – 80 A°) and stable film protects a machined surface against contact with environments at the molecular level;

- antifriction properties. They are achieved both by retaining the lubricating medium and by generation of a coating with a low friction coefficient;

- prevention of micro-destruction of contacting surfaces during friction. Epilam treatment provides degassing of microvoids and microcracks;

lower gas permeability of the machined surface.

The coating is resistant to high temperatures (service temperature: 400 – 500° C), instantaneous: up to 700° C), to pressure (unit loads of up to 3000 MN/m²), to effects of chemicals and radiation.
